Visual SLAM

Using Isaac ROS and a RealSense D435i camera, I successfully implemented Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) to achieve real-time visual odometry. By leveraging my laptop's gpu, I processed camera feed data to map out 3D environments while tracking the camera’s position and orientation. Isaac ROS’s packages were to integrate with ROS2, enabling efficient feature extraction, pose estimation, and map creation. This technology has vast applications in autonomous systems like drones, rovers, and mobile robots — allowing them to navigate and make decisions in unknown environments without relying on GPS, making them ideal for search-and-rescue, exploration, and industrial automation tasks..

Various projects

I’ve worked on a range of embedded systems and IoT projects, gaining hands-on experience with both hardware and software integration. Some of my key projects include an RFID scanner, a mecanum four-wheel drive system for omnidirectional movement, and a pneumatic color sorter for automated material classification. I was also part of SRM Team Robocon, where I contributed to building a basketball-playing robot .
